VA 409 Flow control switch for compressed air systems

The new heat flow direction switch VA 409 has a direction indicator for determining the direction of compressed air and gas flow, especially in closed circular pipes.

By VA 409 with flow direction indicator, compressed air flow direction can be quickly and safely determined.

Compared to previous mechanical paddle flow switches the VA 409 can detect even the smallest changes in flow direction quickly and without any mechanical movement.

Directional information in the form of potential-free contacts (normally closed max. 60 VDC, 0.5 A) is transmitted to the VA 500/ VA 520 consumable sensors or to the separate building management system (mbs) .

Two LED lights show flow direction.

When connected to 2 consumption sensors VA 500/ VA 520, the compressed air entering and leaving the closed circular pipe can be measured accurately.

Special features of the VA 409 flow direction switch

• Detects smallest changes <0.1 m/s at 20°C and 1000 mbar
• There are no mechanical wear parts
• Easy to install under pressure
